Though stating the obvious, regular exercise and good fresh nutritious food are the key to keeping fit. In midlife we can no longer take our health and strength for granted. To look and feel our best we have to work at it.
We all know we should do some form of aerobic exercise at least three times a week for 20 to 30 minutes each time for a healthy heart, lungs and muscles. For flexibility, suppleness and energy we need to build exercise into our lives on a regular basis. It could be walking, swimming, dancing, yoga or any form of exercise that takes your fancy and you will look and feel better.
We also know that what we eat and drink goes a long way to how we look and feel. Fresh fish, meat and poultry, fresh fruit and vegetables in a good balanced nutritious diet give us the fuel we need for a healthy lifestyle.
