I have no doubt that the arguments for taking HRT and not taking HRT will continue for a long time into the future. It is only after generations of us have taken it that we can conclusively see the long term effects.
Despite the risks involved, many women chose the HRT route because of its many benefits.
On a personal note I have tried three different types of oral HRT, two types of skin patches none of which helped much. I am currently on Kilofem which is continual HRT so at least I no longer have to contend with the peaks and troffs of periods.
This one certainly helps but not in every area. I still have night sweats but my itchy furnace legs have calmed down, which is something.
