Gardening Tips for October

As the soft autumn light picks up the changing colours in our gardens we can enjoy harvesting our fruits.

If you have herbaceous perennials it's time to start cutting back now or deciding whether to leave it until next spring.  There is lots of advice in this months RHS October calendar to help you decide which is best for you.  Speaking of spring, it's also time to plant out spring cabbages if you want some nice home grown veg early next season.
